The team focuses on broadly understood scientific information, with particular emphasis on new information technologies and issues related to online marketing.

Areas of interest:
The team’s research, teaching, and service programme includes:

  • Issues related to broadly understood scientific information, with particular emphasis on new information technologies. The main areas of activity will include research on scholarly communication, including databases, research repositories, and digital documents; methods of its evaluation, including scientometrics, webometrics, and alternative metrics; as well as issues related to publishing in the online environment, including e-publishing, design, licences, cooperation, and consortia.
  • Issues related to broadly understood online marketing, including search engine marketing. This area will focus primarily on research concerning information users in the online environment, including user experience research, as well as issues related to search engine optimisation.
